The book My Side of the Mountain was a very good book. It is written by Jean Craighead George. It is about a boy named Sam leaving his home in New York to go live in the Catskill Mountains . While living in the wild he gets a pet falcon which he names Frightful also he makes friends with a weasel and raccoon. For his house he hollowed out a tree and had a deer hide for a door. At the ending his family came to live with him. This is a good book because it will keep you entertained for a while.
